Fun Events for a Good Cause

Good afternoon friends of Care and Share,

All of the events listed below benefit the Empty Stocking Fund, which supports 20 health and human service agencies in the Pikes Peak Region (including Care and Share!). You can learn more about the events here. Have fun while helping your neighbors in need!

Tomorrow night (December 9th), The Broadmoor movie theater will be showing Home Alone at 7pm! If you haven’t seen the Broadmoor during the holiday season, you need to check it out. It is absolutely beautiful! All donations collected at the door will go to The Empty Stocking Fund. Valet parking is complimentary. The suggested donation is $15 for adults and $10 for children.

The Resource Exchange, Chapel Hills Mall, and Empty Stocking Fund bring you Breakfast with Santa on December 10th at 8:30am in the Chapel Hills Mall Food Court. Breakfast will include sensory-friendly activities. RSVP with the Chapel Hills Mall Guest Services at (719) 244-9482 or in person, located in the lower level Dillard’s wing. Adults are $5, children are $3, and children under age two are free.

On December 13th, come out to Rock Bottom on Powers and have a beer! $1 from every beer sold after 6:30pm benefits Empty Stocking Fund. Plus, in honor of Rock’s Bottom’s Naughty Scot beer, we will be selling one-of-a-kind Naught Scot posters to add to your collection.

On December 14th from 6:00am – 6:00pm, Ivywild will be filled with hundreds of envelopes containing prizes to local restaurants and businesses, including The Broadmoor, Bristol Brewing Company, Wag N’ Wash, and more! The minimum donation to pick an envelope is $10 and larger donations will allow you to hunt for envelopes with larger prizes.

Stop by anytime from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to participate. Listen to 95.1 NASH FM to learn more and look out for Cutter & Alisha all day at Bristol Brewery!

On December 15th, support Empty Stocking Fund while enjoying dishes from around the world made by local chefs. Participating restaurants include The Blue Star, Seeds Community Café, Springs Orleans, American Culinary Federation Pikes Peak Chapter, Odyssey Gastropub, and more!
If we reach our goal of 250 attendees, Myron Stratton Home will donate $25,000 to the Empty Stocking Fund!

Click here to purchase tickets. Tickets are $40 when purchased in advance and $45 the day of the event. Thanks to Switchbacks FC for sponsoring the event and being our box office provider.

On December 27th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm, come skate the night away at the Broadmoor World Arena! $5 for kids and $10 for adults includes ice skate rental.

Thanks for reading and happy holidays!
